Summer workshops

We are holding summer workshops in August and can’t wait to see everyone there! Each day we learn a dance in a different style of dance and these are suitable for beginners and experienced dancers. They are for age 3 upwards and we offer half day options as well as full day options. As well as learning dances we have craft activities and also play lots of games to keep the children entertained! It’s a great way to learn new skills, make friends and have lots of fun! To book please email lauren@kaliedoscopedance.co.uk

Christmas Show 2021

We have booked our annual Christmas Show for Saturday 27th November. Held at Watford Grammar School for Boys as usual which is such a fantastic theatre! Last years was cancelled due to Covid and it was such a big shame. This year is our 30th year of being open and it’s going to be a big one! Make sure you save the date and get ready for a fab show!

Summer Workshop 2021

We held our first in person workshops since Covid started and what great fun we had! 24 lovely pupils and newbies joined us for three days of fun, dance and craft. I loved hanging out with everyone and well done to all that came. I can’t wait for our next one!

Online classes

Online classes

I can’t believe we’ve been running our classes for over 8 weeks now! It has been an unusual time for us all and I’m so grateful to our pupils that have been able to stick with us. It was a big decision to take our classes online and I’m so glad we did. Being at home is hard, especially with no childcare and still trying to work, and knowing that we’ve still got class just keeps me going! It’s a great way to keep exercising, keep our skill level up and keeping connected with everyone. We’ve also had pupils sign...

Revels – June 22nd

Our annual performance at the Croxley Green Revels is an event we really look forward to! We have a stall where information can be found about our classes and also a big performance in the main arena. This gives us a great opportunity to show off the pupils and teachers hard work and a chance for us to promote the school. More information about our performance time will come out soon so in the meantime we...

Pomelo Event – 4th May

Pomelo Event – 4th May

Pomelo Events are hosting a Kids Spring Party on the 4th May at St Oswalds Church Hall and we will be having a stall there. This is a great opportunity for us to promote our classes and birthday parties that we offer. It is open from 12-4pm and we would love for as many Kaliedoscope pupils to come to the event and support us!

Why should we dance?

Why should we dance?

I love dancing! I have danced basically my whole life and have been lucky enough to turn it into my career. I started to think about why I love dancing and what benefits we gain from it. It is good exercise This benefit is a little more obvious than the others being that you can burn calories while dancing. How many calories you burh obviously depends on the type of class you are doing. Dance also helps towards a healthy heart and lungs whilst increasing strength in muscles. If like me, you don’t enjoy the gym too much then dancing...

Your first class

Your first class

This blog will help you know what to expect in your first class with Kaliedoscope! What time should you arrive? We recommend turning up 10-15 minutes before your dance class starts to familiarise yourselves with the environment and filling out the registration form if you haven’t done so already. What to wear At Kaliedoscope we have a uniform that everyone wears. This is a Kaliedoscope black t shirt and plain black leggings (which you provide) Trainers are to be worn and your hair must be tied up and no jewellery is to be worn. It is not necessary to be...
