Online classes

Online classes

I can’t believe we’ve been running our classes for over 8 weeks now! It has been an unusual time for us all and I’m so grateful to our pupils that have been able to stick with us. It was a big decision to take our classes online and I’m so glad we did. Being at home is hard, especially with no childcare and still trying to work, and knowing that we’ve still got class just keeps me going! It’s a great way to keep exercising, keep our skill level up and keeping connected with everyone. We’ve also had pupils sign...

Summer Workshops

Summer Workshops

This year we are holding summer workshops in August and can’t wait to see everyone there! Each day we learn two different styles of dance and these are suitable for beginners and experienced dancers. They are for age 3 upwards and we offer half day options as well as full day options. As well as learning dances we have craft activities and also play lots of games to keep the children entertained! It’s a great way to learn new skills, make friends and have lots of fun!

Revels – June 22nd

Revels – June 22nd

Our annual performance at the Croxley Green Revels is an event we really look forward to! The whole of Croxley Green comes together and local businesses come and show their trade whilst we have spectacular performances in the main arena. We have a stall where information can be found about our classes and also a big performance in the main arena. This gives us a great opportunity to show off the pupils and teachers hard work and a chance for us to promote the school. More information about our performance time will come out soon so in the meantime we...

Pomelo Event – 4th May

Pomelo Event – 4th May

Pomelo Events are hosting a Kids Spring Party on the 4th May at St Oswalds Church Hall and we will be having a stall there. This is a great opportunity for us to promote our classes and birthday parties that we offer. It is open from 12-4pm and we would love for as many Kaliedoscope pupils to come to the event and support us!

Why should we dance?

Why should we dance?

I love dancing! I have danced basically my whole life and have been lucky enough to turn it into my career. I started to think about why I love dancing and what benefits we gain from it. It is good exercise This benefit is a little more obvious than the others being that you can burn calories while dancing. How many calories you burh obviously depends on the type of class you are doing. Dance also helps towards a healthy heart and lungs whilst increasing strength in muscles. If like me, you don’t enjoy the gym too much then dancing...

Christmas Show 2017

Christmas Show 2017

We had our annual Christmas show on Saturday 2nd December at the Watford Grammar School for Boys where 85 of our pupils performed. All participants were invited to perform on the stage in front of their friends and family and we provided food and drink afterwards to end the winter term. The show was amazing and every single dancer made the teachers proud! This year was the first year that we had a ‘show’ t shirt and it looked really effective when all the children were wearing them on the stage. Here’s a group shot of us at the end...
